R&D on low-jitter and low-latency communication platform
R&D issues
Even in distant locations, remote control of the CA enables the user to experience the CA as if he/she were in the same place, and to communicate with people in remote locations. To achieve this, the CA must be able to be operated as desired by the remote operator, and the video and audio from remote location must be clearly experienced. In addition, the CA must be able to behave like a human (remote operator) so that people who talk to or interact with the remote operator via the CA do not feel discomfort.
This not only requires that the CA have sufficient functionality and performance, but also that the network between the CA and the remote operator be of high quality.
In this research item, we will develop a CA reliability assurance platform to maintain stable communication performance throughout the entire communication path, including both wired and wireless communication. Develop a method to maintain optimal networks that follows the movement (change of location) of the CA and remote operator and takes into account the surrounding congestion to minimize jitter and delays in the communication.
